Our Sessions and Hypnotherarapy
A stop smoking or vaping session at The Gold Coast Stop Smoking Clinic costs $400, or $350 for concession card holders.
This is a one-time hypnotherapy session designed to help you quit smoking or vaping.
Your session also includes:
A follow-up session within the first 3 months if required
This follow-up is only needed for a small percentage of clients (approximately 10%)
Most clients achieve their goal in a single session.
Yes. Many clients are able to stop smoking or vaping after a single focused 2-hour hypnotherapy session at The Gold Coast Stop Smoking Clinic.
This session is designed to create meaningful change without the need for:
Homework
Multiple sessions
Listening to recordings
The aim is to keep the process simple, practical, and focused on helping you move forward as a non-smoker.
We offer a discounted session rate for clients holding eligible Australian Government concession cards.
Accepted cards include:
Pensioner Concession Card (PCC)
Low Income Health Care Card (LIHCC)
Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC)
Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) cards
If you are unsure whether your card qualifies, you are welcome to contact The Gold Coast Stop Smoking Clinic before booking.
We are unable to offer a guarantee or refund for stopping smoking, as individual results can vary.
However, Ann-Marie Johansen at The Gold Coast Stop Smoking Clinic is fully committed to supporting each client to achieve the best possible outcome.
If you find yourself struggling or return to smoking within the first 3 months, a second session is provided at no additional cost.
Medicare does not cover hypnotherapy or stop smoking sessions.
However, some private health insurance providers may offer rebates under “Extras” cover, particularly if stop smoking programs are included in your policy.
We recommend checking directly with your health fund to confirm your eligibility.
Most people can be hypnotised, as hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention and relaxation.
It is similar to being absorbed in a book or a movie, where your attention is so focused that you become less aware of your surroundings.
In this state, you are still fully aware and in control, but more open to positive change and suggestion.
Many clients who attend have previously tried to quit using methods such as nicotine patches, gum, willpower, or other support services.
These approaches work for some people, however others find they still experience strong cravings or habits that are difficult to break.
Hypnotherapy offers a different approach by focusing on the subconscious patterns and associations linked to smoking or vaping.
Yes — we have an office in both the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
If either location is not convenient for you, we also offer online Zoom sessions, allowing you to complete your hypnotherapy session from the comfort of your home or office.

Yes — you will be able to drive safely after your session.
While many clients feel deeply relaxed following hypnotherapy, you remain fully alert, aware, and in control throughout the process and afterwards.
Most people are able to return to normal activities, including driving or going back to work, immediately after their session.
The Gold Coast Stop Smoking Clinic is often booked 1–3 weeks in advance, so we operate a strict 48-hour cancellation policy.
When your appointment is reserved, a dedicated 2-hour session time is allocated specifically for you. Late cancellations or missed appointments make it difficult to offer that time to other clients who are ready to attend.
If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or in the case of a no-show, a $50 cancellation fee applies per booking.
For bookings involving multiple appointments (including couple or back to back session) the cancelation policy is based on the first scheduled appointment time as the full booking block is reserved for you
